FAQ
More detailed information can be found on our Policies page. Q: Do you ever go outside of your service area for visits?
A: We are only able to offer visits within our service area, no exceptions.
A: No, we are not a Boarding facility. We are a home-based business, and are not equipped to take pets for care at this time. We provide Pet Sitting Services in the client's home only.
A: We care for cats, dogs, and other small animals. On occasion we have also cared for chickens and goats.
Q: Are all pets good candidates for at-home Pet Sitting?
A: No, while many pets are happier and less stressed in their own home, some pets are not able to be left unsupervised, and may require an alternate care situation. You know your pet best and are the only one who can decide whether or not they will be okay at home while you are gone.
Q: How many times can you visit my pet in one day? A: We can visit up to 4 times in one day, depending upon availability.
Q: Can my friend do part of the visits?
A: Lucky Leash does not allow job sharing due to liability issues. See our policies for further explanation.
Q: Are you an on-call service?
A: No, we are a reservation based, advance-notice service. If you frequently need visits with less than 24 hours notice, you may be better suited to contact a larger pet care facility that may be able to handle such requests.
A: Yes, we are licensed in full compliance to do business in the cities we serve. We are insured through Pet Sitters Associates, LLC. At this time all visits are carried out by the owners, however, Lucky Leash carries a Surety Bond in case we should need to make use of incidental helpers, employees, or independent contractors.
A: We are a two person, owner-operated business, and we do all of the visits ourselves. It may be one, or both of us on any given day, depending on our schedule.
A: Yes, we belong to Pet Sitters Associates, LLC. We are also certified by the American Red Cross in First Aid for Dogs and Cats. My partner and I opened Lucky Leash in 2008, and since then we have provided Pet Sitting services for dogs, cats, fish, chickens, goats, and turkeys!
Q: Do you have references? A: Yes, we have references, and our Client Reference Sheet is available during the consultation.
Q: Why do you require two sets of keys?
A: We require two sets of keys so that we have a back-up in case of an emergency lock-out situation.
Q: Do you accept credit cards? A: Yes, we accept credit cards via Intuit Bill Pay, and PayPal. For more payment information, or to pay online, click here.
